Professor Skelton goes to Holyrood

Professor Dawn Skelton has been invited to join a panel of health experts at a prestigious event in the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh this month to mark the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations  http://europa.eu/ey2012/ 
She will join Shona Robison MSP, Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport; Susanne Hollman, European Commission Education and Sport; Louise Richardson, Vice President of AGE Platform Europe; Dr Margaret Whorisky, Director of the Joint Improvement Team; and Dr Andrew Murray, Physical Activity Champion of the Scottish Government.
Held on Friday 27 April 2012 at Holyrood, the Our Path to Active Ageing event is a joint venture between the Long Term Conditions Alliance, Joint Improvement Team and Reshaping Care for Older People. 
Participants will be encouraged to share innovative ways to promote physical activity for older people. There will also be opportunities to learn more about the barriers to physical activity and an exploration of the benefits of physical activity on health and wellbeing for older people and their carers.
