Peer Assisted Study Support (PASS) is an initiative where trained student PASS Leaders support groups of new undergraduate students to settle into university life, develop study skills and discuss academic course content. Sessions are delivered as part of your timetable on a weekly basis and are designed to be informal, friendly and student-led.
Each week different topics are discussed, ranging from subjects covered in your course to skills development (e.g. presentation skills) or more general issues related to settling into university life (e.g. how to use the library or access student support services). Attending sessions is a good way to meet people on your course and get hints and tips from a more experienced PASS Leader who has been in your position and understands the challenges that you might be facing.
PASS Leaders – students in higher years of your programme - will offer tours of the campus. They can show you the places of interest and how to access the facilities on campus. The tours will commence on Saturday 11th of September till the 25th of September.
Tours begin from the Saltire Centre entrance at the following times: 11:00-18:00 leaving every half hour (the last tour will leave at 17:30). You can prebook your tour by emailing gcutours@gcu.ac.uk
