The Positive Living Team provides an easily accessible counselling service which is available to all students throughout their time at the university.
Some of the most common issues which students come for help with are stress, low mood, poor self-esteem and relationship problems. Many students benefit from exploring their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours in the confidential counselling setting.
The service is staffed by a team of qualified counsellors and psychotherapists working with a variety of approaches. Most students meet with their counsellor or therapist for a series of anywhere between 1 and 6 weekly appointments (and sometimes longer where appropriate).
We operate a year round service and can be contacted by phone on 0141 273-1393 (9am-5pm Monday-Friday), by email positiveliving@gcu.ac.uk or at one of our evening drop-in sessions on Tuesday evenings from 5.00pm – 7.30pm in room M105.
