Secure Your Offer

There are only five steps from offer to induction at GCU. Follow this easy guide and you will complete the process in time to join us.

The 5 Step Guide to GCU

1. Make your conditional offer - unconditional

If you have received a conditional offer and now have your final qualifications, send them to the admissions department and your offer will be updated.

Once you have provided us with evidence that you can meet the conditions of your offer, our admissions team will be able to issue you with your unconditional offer. To formally accept your unconditional offer please email postgraduate@gcu.ac.uk.

English Language Conditions

If you are required to demonstrate your English Language proficiency as part of the conditions of your offer please send these to the admissions department and your offer will be updated.

Alternatively, if you are currently studying in the UK and have been unable to book an English language test (IELTS or TOEFL) you may be eligible to take GCU’s free English language test.

2. Accept your unconditional offer

Unconditional offer holders -  congratulations you are now ready to accept your offer.

Formally confirm your acceptance by emailing postgraduate@gcu.ac.uk.

Deposits and Student Visas

If you are paying your fees and require to pay a deposit, follow the instructions on how to make the payment as detailed in your offer letter.

Once your deposit has been processed we will send you your CAS number which allows you to apply for your UK student visa.

Not sure if you require a visa to study in the UK?

Visit the UKVI website. You may also wish to check the procedures in your country. UK Visa application procedures can differ from country to country, so find out how long your application will take and what you will need to complete the process from the UK Border Agency’s website

3. Virtual campus visit

Our virtual campus tour  provides you with a great snapshot of your new University. Our Facebook page is another great way to get to know our welcome team and begin to feel part of the campus before you arrive.

4. Arrange your accommodation

GCU's on-campus accommodation, Caledonian Court, has availability for students starting. Applications should be made as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Joining GCU on an exchange programme? Your Caledonian Court accommodation can be arranged through the GCU Exchange Office.

5. Register your place

And finally, you are ready to register as a GCU student. You have accepted your unconditional offer and confirmation of deposit, if needed, has been received. Next you will be sent joining instructions. These contain instructions on how to register and advice for your first few weeks at GCU.
