How do I get my matriculation card?
- Have you registered yet? First you have to register online and email us your photograph. We send you everything you need to know for this in your joining instructions.
- You can collect your matriculation card in M201, George Moore Building from 29 August to 15 September. We can also help you with registration and take a photograph of you if you haven’t been able to email one in time. If in Glasgow, we recommend you come on or before 11 September to avoid our busiest time and can then focus on attending your scheduled classes from 12 September having already matriculated.
- If you are an international student, we will need to check and copy your passport and visa before we give you your card to meet our sponsor requirements for the UK Border Agency. You must also give us your local address including postcode.
- Until 15 September we are open in M201:
Monday 0930-1800
Tuesday 0930-1800
Wednesday 0930-1800
Thursday 0930-1800
Friday 0930-1600
Saturday 10th 1200-1400
Sunday 11th 1300-1500
- If you don't start your programme before 15 September 2011, collect your card from the Academic Registry desk.
Loan letters and grant cheques
When you have your matriculation card, you can get your loan or SAAS award letter scanned and collect any grant cheques. Find out how you get your first payment. If you have the letters for both already, bring them when you collect your matriculation card and you can do everything together.
Validity of the card
Your matriculation card is valid for the duration of your programme. We will issue a new card if your studies continue past the expiry date.

You need the matriculation card as ID to
