Information, support and advice for disabled students
Should you require assistance because of a medical condition, a specific learning difficult or disability then please contact the Disability Service immediately for an appointment to speak with an advisor. The disability service can support you by putting in place requirements that you may have during your studies at GCU.
We can help you with following:
- Providing information and advice for disabled students and applicants
- Assistance in applying for Disabled Students’ Allowance for equipment or other help needed for study.
- Support in setting up alternative exam arrangements, where students may require additional time or other arrangements to be put in place
- Help with notifying appropriate academic staff about student support requirements
- Help with arranging assessments, such as dyslexia assessment
- Liaison with other agencies who can provide the sorts of assistance students might need, such as Interpreters or scribes.
