Mature Students
You are considered a mature or non-standard entrant if you are appying without recent qualifications (normally 3-5 years) to full and part-time, undergraduate Law and Social Sciences programmes.
You are also considered a mature or non-standard entrant if you are applying to an LLB programme with recent qualifications that do not meet the programme entry requirements. For clarification please contact us lss@gcal.ac.uk.
How do I apply?
Apply through UCAS for full-time programmes and directly the School of Law and Social Sciences for part-time programmes .
UCAS may request a college or school code, but you can apply as an individual without this code and this will not affect your application.
When is the deadline?
The first deadline for full-time entry is the 15th January, as advertised on UCAS. However, we normally accept applications until the end of June and consider these applications in the same way as earlier applicants.
Partt-time applicants should apply before the end of June.
What about funding?
Normally, if you have not been funded for any college or university courses and you are an eligible UK/EU student, you will receive payment of your fees from SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland). You should contact the SASS directly for confirmation as we can not confirm your fee status.
