2week and long loans

You can find books and all other kinds of library material by using the library catalogue. You can search by author; book or journal title; or keyword (subject). When the book you want comes up in your Search Results screen, click on Details. This should take you to the Item Location screen. Note the ‘class’ or ‘call’ number and the location - you'll find them under Holdings. We have a quick guide to the catalogue.

Our books are arranged by subject, but we separate 2-week loan, long loan, and reference books.

• 2-week loan books (books on reading lists) are on open shelves and have coloured spots on their spines.
  One copy of each reading list title is usually put in the:
• Reference reading list (RRL) books These are also on open shelves but are for use in the library only. They have a red dot at the top of their spine and a green label inside saying "for use in the library only".
• Long loan books are in the electronic compact shelving.
