Keynote indexes UK market reports, giving industry overviews. It includes brief company profiles, information on value of the market, political, economic, legislative and technological factors affecting an industry and much more. You will need an Athens password. External members and mentors are not entitled to a password.
You can also go to Keynote via the Library web pages. Just point your browser at our database list and click Keynote.
The Welcome page has changed an now displays the My Keynote screen. At this stage you can click the red Your reports icon at the top left of the screen, this will display an a-z list of the reports available to you as a GCU student. You can also use the links on the left hand menu or the search box at the top right of the screen.
This lets you run a more detailed search. You can search either by keyword in the full text of the report, by market sector (choose from the drop-down menu), report title, chapter title or publication date. Enter your search and click the red search button.
This gives an alphabetical list of all the available Key Note reports. Clicking a title displays the Executive Summary of that report. You can the display the table of contents and from there the full text of the chapters (if covered by our subscription). Click on the headings to navigate through the report. You can only scroll through one chapter at a time in this screen – not the whole report. You can download or view the whole report as a PDF file using the icons at the top right of the white window.
If you click the Market intelligence link, a set of subheadings will appear. Choosing market sectors will list all of the market sectors covered by Key Note. Clicking on a sector lists the titles and date of publication. Click the title to view the report, or click the + icon for an overview of the contents. Click the contents icon for a full listing of the contents.
Top markets allows you to view a market assessment by market sector. Click on a title for more information. A list of chapter headings will appear on the left hand menu. If we have access, they will be marked with a green tick. Click on the heading to display the text. There is a print link at the foot of the chapter listing to allow you to print the contents of the display window.
