The main purpose of the University Archive is to select, preserve and make available the archives of the University to the highest standards. The four main objectives are –
The Institutional Archive contains the official records of Glasgow Caledonian University and its predecessor bodies. These records worthy of permanent preservation give evidence about the functions, policies and decisions of the University including minutes, reports, subject files, correspondence, publications, photographs and other types of records, in various formats. This Archive ensures the historical continuity of the University.
Other deposited archives enhance the research and curricula needs of the University.
