Online Appointments

How does online support work?

You can email an essay or assignment to be reviewed by a tutor in the first available appointment. An LDC tutor will review your work and provide written feedback by email. We do NOT proof read for spelling or grammar. We do, however, indicate where there are language and structure problems and suggest proof-reading strategies in relation to language, style and structure (If you require proof-reading you should approach your department for assistance). You can also email a specific query about any aspect of your study and a tutor will answer by email.

On-line support is open to all students and is particularly useful to part-time and distance learning students. Face-to-face support offers greater opportunity for discussion and dialogue than online support - many students use a mixture of both online and face-to-face appointments.
