Tailored workshops
Aligning with the LTAS I-Learn and GCU Transition and Progression Frameworks, the LDC offers tailored, context-based workshops to all schools to meet students’ specific academic needs, relevant to their degree programmes. Examples of previous and ongoing workshops delivered by LDC include:
- Developing academic writing within your discipline – U/g, P/g Engineering, Computing, Built and Natural Environment programmes
- Structuring and developing critical analysis in report writing (Individual & Group) – Engineering, Computing, Built and Natural Environment.
- Reflective writing
- Critically reviewing research papers – across all disciplines and levels
- Critically preparing and developing dissertations - across all disciplines and levels
- Workshops with English for Academic Purposes emphasis
- Preparing and developing a critical Literature Review
- Purpose and appropriate use of citing and referencing
- Effective revision & exam technique.
