Services Provided
Services for students
The Learning Development Centre offers a range of services aimed at enhancing the learning experience of students. These services include:
- General academic guidance and advice
- Support with study skills
- Help with academic writing skills
- Help with use of GCU Learn and other IT systems
- Use of assistive technologies for learning
- Study skills workshops
- Point of information for general study related questions
Any student who is unsure if LDC can help with a particular question or enquiry should make contact with the Centre to find out if we can assist.
Services for staff
The Learning Development Centre offers services to staff aimed at continuous enhancement of the learning environment we provide for students. These services include:
- Technical support with use of GCU Learn
- Support with the introduction and use of e-learning
- Video and audio recording and editing
- Poster and graphics design and production to support teaching
- Support of new teaching and learning techniques and technologies
- Staff development workshops and training
