The Politics of Migration: Citizenship, Inclusion and Social Justice in the European Union
The Institute for Society and Social Justice Research presents an international workshop over two days, 10-11 November at Glasgow Caledonian University.
This workshop brings together a range of scholars and perspectives on developments in political theory on migration; recently completed empirical projects; and further developments in methodology. It is an opportunity for academic exchange and discussion, and to build relationships with colleagues at Glasgow Caledonian University and our external partners and stakeholders, including GRAMNET at Glasgow University and colleagues from the PSA Specialist Groups on Comparative European Politics and French Politics.
The sessions bring together scholars based in Scotland, across the UK and internationally, ensuring a broad perspective on migration, citizenship, inclusion and discourse in Europe. The intended audience is research and teaching active academics, and stakeholders from across policy and practice with an interest in the political theory and discourse influencing government policy and the lived experience of migrants.
The event is offered free but places are limited. There will be light refreshments over the two days. To register, please contact Kirsty Cameron at kirsty.cameron@gcu.ac.uk Please confirm which of the sessions you will be attending.
