CCNP

The Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) builds on the CCNA certification and is composed of four separate courses: Building Scalable Internetworks (BSI), Implementing Secure Converged Wide Area Network (ISCW), Building Multilayered Switched Networks (BMSN) and Optimising Converged Networks (OCN).  These four courses cover the learning objectives of the CCNP certification exam which is the second step in the Cisco certification path.

The four courses will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide area networks.  With a CCNP certification, a network professional demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless and security into the network.

Building Scalable Internetworks (CCNP1)

In this course, students will learn how to create efficient and expandable enterprise-class IP routing networks by installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure equipment as specified in the Enterprise Composite Network model. The routed network includes the most commonly used and emerging IP routing protocols.

Relevant Certification Exam: BSCI: 642-901 BSCI

Implementing Secure Converged Wide-Area Networks (CCNP2)

This course will teach advanced skills required to secure and enhance services in enterprise networks for teleworkers and remote sites. It will focus on securing remote access and VPN client configuration.

Relevant Certification Exam: ISCW: 642-825 ISCW

Building Multilayer Switched Networks (CCNP3)

In this course, students will learn how to create efficient and expandable switched enterprise networks by installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure equipment as specified in the Enterprise Composite Network model. The course teaches the advanced skills required for building enterprise-class switched networks with integrated VoIP and wireless applications. It includes wireless LANs, basic Quality of Service to support voice, high-availability features, and enhanced security for switches.

Relevant Certification Exam: BCMSN: 642-812 BCMSN

Optimizing Converged Networks (CCNP4)

This course teaches advanced skills required to optimize Quality of Service in converged networks supporting voice, wireless, and security applications. The course aligns with the Optimized Converged Cisco Networks ONT (642-845) exam.

Relevant Certification Exam: BCMSN: 642-845 ONT

A valid CCNA certificate is a pre-requisite for this course.
