Grading Review Process 2012
1. ELIGIBILITY
All support and research staff who have been in post for at least 12 months are eligible to submit an application to have their role evaluated.
A number of new roles were created as part of the re-profiling exercise for support staff which have been sized through the University’s role evaluation process role. As such, individuals who fall into this category and had their role reviewed in this phase will not be eligible to apply for a further grading review until August 2012.
Should any member of staff currently be in a Grade 8 role (the top grade in the scale) and submit a successful application which confirms their role is beyond Grade 8, they will be appointed to a senior management contract and future remuneration will be consistent with this contract
2. AIM
The aim of the Grading Review procedure is to ensure that staff are rewarded in a fair, equitable and consistent manner for the work they are required to undertake and ensures that the principles of equal pay for work of equal value are being met.
