Minimum Entry Requirements

English LanguageInternational students whose first language is not English shall be required to demonstrate evidence of satisfactory competence by completing an IELTS test with a score of at least 7.0 or by holding another recognised qualification.
Visa InformationOverseas students are not permitted on a student visa to study on a part-time basis. If you are here on another visa you may be able to study on a part-time basis.

Course Outline
The programme can lead to four levels of qualification D.Psych, Master of Science, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate and allows a curriculum of modules that are relevant to psychology graduates looking to enhance their competencies in Counselling Psychology or to qualify as Chartered Counselling Psychologists. The combined expertise of the Counselling Unit at the University of Strathclyde and the Division of Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University provides an excellent backdrop for students wishing to work with international experts in the field. Furthermore, the programme is unique in providing a core training in the Person-Centred/Experiential approach. This is supplemented by a further focus on Cognitive Behavioural Theory and Practice.
Fees and Funding
UK And EU Students: £5,100 per year (2008/09) Please note, this fee does not include the costs of 40 hours of personal therapy required by the D.Psych
