Lecturer in Vision Sciences
Profile:
Katherine is a lecturer in Vision Sciences and has been at Glasgow Caledonian University since 1992 when undertook postgraduate research into the effects of photorefractive keratectomy on the optical quality of the cornea.
Research Interests:
Katherine is a member of the Anterior Eye Research Group. She has been involved in a couple of contact lens research projects and is currently involved in studies investigating tear physiology in dry eye patients.
Teaching Interests:
Katherine’s teaching duties include lecturing on Contact Lenses, Optometric Examination Procedures, Delegated Functions and Visual Optics. She is also involved in clinical supervision, in particular looking after the Rheumatology Screening Clinic.
Collaborations:
Member of the British Committee of Contact Lens Educators (BUCCLE)
I play the cello with the Glasgow Chamber Orchestra. I also enjoy various sports including cross-country ski-ing.
