Cathy Meredith is a Senior Lecturer in Therapy Radiography and has worked as a senior clinician and practice educator in the NHS, and retains an honorary teaching position at the Beatson Oncology Centre. Currently she is awards co-ordinator for the MSc suite of programmes in Radiography. Her research background involved published studies relating to information and support of cancer patients and her work has been funded by Cancer Relief Macmillan and the Cancer Research Campaign.

She has contributed to guideline development for the College of Radiographers and the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network. Cathy is on the editorial board of the European Journal of Cancer Care and the Journal of Radiotherapy Practice.

Current Research Interests are focused on the role of families at the time of a cancer diagnosis and how this need can best be met. She is working in collaboration with staff of the Beatson Oncology Centre in this endeavour.
