Toddler & Preschooler Lab
The Toddler & Preschooler Lab is a welcoming space for your children dedicated to help us understand different aspects of children’s cognitive and socio-cognitive development.
Our research explores young children’s cognitive skills as:
- Natural Psychologists:
- How they come to attribute internal states to others as they follow narratives
- Apprentices before school:
- How they learn from communication in joint attention before language
- Precocious Negotiators:
- How they come to understand conditional agreements and trust
- Interpreters of visuo-spatial information
- How they make sense of visual clues as a function of the spatial context
Our research interest is both in the typical and the atypical development of these skills. We are working with children with dual sensory impairment, children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Fragile X children.
