University Health and Safety Committee

The University Court is a corporate body with key responsibilities in relation to the university's overall strategic direction and for ensuring that the university's business is conducted in accordance with the approved mission statement and objectives.

To assist in meeting its health and safety responsibilities, the University Court has set up the University Health and Safety Committee. As part of its remit, the H & S Committee ensures that there is in place, a written statement of Health and Safety Policy which includes details of the organisation and arrangements for its implementation. The Committee will also advise and make recommendations to the University Court on matters relating to the Policy.
