Internationally excellent health and social care education and research
The School of Health was established in August 2009, following the merger of the School of Health and Social Care with the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Community Health.
By bringing together the range of health, nursing and social care disciplines, the school is one of the largest providers of health care education in Scotland and provides and exciting and dynamic environment in which to further an academic or professional career.
Building on existing strengths in learning, teaching and research, the school’s vision is to establish a nationally and internationally recognised centre of excellence delivering the highest quality of health and social care education and research. Glasgow Caledonian’s research in the field of health is world leading and was recently ranked in the UK top 10 in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
