This research group has interests ranging across governance, citizenship and participation in the policy process and migration and immigration.

- Inequality, Gender and Public Policy
This research group has interests ranging across economic analysis for equality; equality analysis of public policy; equalities budget analysis; and financial in/exclusion.
- Public Management and Risk
- Violence, Crime and Justice
This research group has interests ranging across: alcohol, gendered violence and risk assessment; juries, expert testimony and expert evidence; young people and environmental approaches to crime reduction; and criminal justice, policing and regulation interdisciplinary nature of the research central to developing innovative methodologies and bringing fresh insights to entrenched and emerging issues.
