Last night saw Itison scoop the award for the first Glasgow School for Business and Society award for best performing business (over 25 employees) at the Glasgow Business Awards. Itison surpassed short-listed organisations Barr & Wray, Barrhead Travel and Fleet Alliance to win the award.
Launched in 2002 and based in the heart of Glasgow, Itison has risen to the position of Scotland’s number one daily deals and events site with regional offices in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.
The winner was announced at the Glasgow Business Awards 2012 ceremony, organised by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, of which GCU’s Glasgow School for Business and Society is a member.
The annual awards ceremony and dinner is firmly established as the highlight of the Glasgow business calendar. It attracts high profile industry involvement and offers Glasgow businesses the opportunity to promote major achievements and celebrate success.
Professor John Wilson, Executive Dean and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Glasgow School for Business and Society, said: “The evening was a huge success and Glasgow School for Business and Society is delighted to sponsor the Glasgow Business Award for Best Performing Business with over 25 employees. On behalf of the School, I would like to congratulate the Itison team on winning the award. They have developed a unique business with a passionate team and tremendous entrepreneurial spirit and I know their success will be an inspiration to our students”
