Our group is concerned with the creation and innovative application of strategic and operational management techniques in commercial, public and not-for-profit/social enterprise settings, as well as with public policy debates about social innovation. This thinking drives our aim to provide students and organisations with an edge in today's competitive environment.

In the delivery of our programmes, we draw on our national and international research, including our work with the Yunus Centre where two of our staff are co-located. We also build on our industry links such as Centre for Engineering Education and Development (CEED) and consultancy to ensure a real world learning experience for students. Staff research and teaching are international in nature extending from Europe to Latin America, South Africa and the Middle East.

Our programmes are accredited by Chartered Management Institute, Institute of Operations Management, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
