Sport, events and tourism is a mutli-disciplinary group focused on (i) looking at the intersections of the three areas, and (ii) subject specific work in areas of specialism relating to these industries. We work with a range of partners nationally and internationally and are engaged in collaborative research with various institutions across the world. Staff have presented at international conferences and published research in a variety of academic books and international journals.

Our work has explored aspects of the above in relation to the local area and with reference to the globalization of sport, events and tourism. Published research and consultancy work includes sport community development initiatives, volunteering at events, sport, tourism and mega-events, and visitor attraction analysis.
