The Accountancy, Finance and Risk group has strength in depth across its three broadly defined areas of provision. We pride ourselves on close links with business, which provide our students with regular contact with professional accountants, risk managers and key players in the banking sector.
We also work in partnership with key professional bodies in areas in which we excel. Our BA Accountancy programme is accredited by all the UK professional accounting bodies. We provide programmes in partnership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). We work closely with the Chartered Institute of Insurers (CII), the Institute of Risk Management (IRM), the Institute of Operational Risk (IOR), the Chartered Banker Institute (trading name Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland) and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) with whom we are a ‘Centre of Excellence’.
These links enable us to remain relevant - providing both students and corporate clients with cutting edge, contemporary and impartial information.
