Corporate responsibility and sustainability are fundamental concerns for every organisation. The Glasgow School for Business and Society seeks to address the complex challenges of the global economy, while delivering social benefit to local and global communities.

Global citizenship, responsible leadership, entrepreneurship and social justice are core to our teaching, research and public engagement activities.

Our distinctive, research-led portfolio offers excellent and accessible higher education opportunities in Glasgow, London and New York. Our programmes are endorsed by professional and academic accreditations confirming that your qualification is among the best in the world.

Employability

Our distinctive, contemporary curriculum offers students opportunities to engage and network with industry and professional practice. Our career-ready graduates enter the market with skills including commercial awareness, initiative, flexibility and creativity.

The percentage of GCU graduates who have found work or are in a further programme of study within six months stands at 95% (DLHE 2015), placing GCU in a leading position in the sector.

Global citizenship

GCU embeds responsible management, social responsibility and sustainability into all learning, teaching and research, a commitment that led GCU to become the first UK university member of the United Nations Global Compact, and is further demonstrated in our commitment to local and global initiatives such as ASHOKA U, PRME, WRAP and Business in the Community.

Applied research

The School’s research is developed within the broad themes of social innovation, equality and justice. The 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) results showed that GCU’s research impact in the area of social policy is top ten in the UK. Our vibrant research environment aims to promote research-led solutions for private, public and voluntary sector partners and to shape policy and societal outcomes that achieve equality, justice and social innovation.
