Graduation Registration – Remember to bring your Matriculation Card with you

  • When: Monday 16 April to Thursday 10 May 2012
  • Times: Between 10am and 3.30pm
  • Where: Graduation and Awards Unit, George Moore Building

You will not graduate from the University if you do not register and pay the registration fee during these dates.

Do I need to register?

Yes.

Where do I register and do I need to bring anything with me?

Please come to Room M124 to complete a graduation registration form and receive information on how to pay the registration fee of £40. You must bring your matriculation card with you at the time of registration.

For part time, distance learning, placement, non attending students, (and students who do not have examinations during the graduation registration session) graduation registration documentation will be sent your home address. Please complete, sign and return the registration form to the Graduation and Awards Unit. Once you have returned the completed form, you can then pay online (where appropriate).

How do I register?

  • You need to check, complete and sign a pre-printed form which has your personal details printed on it.
  • We would ask that you pay particular attention to how your name is shown on the registration form.
  1. If a minor change needs to be made to how your name is shown on the registration form, i.e. to alter the spelling, please do so - if we require further information, we will contact you by letter and email
  2. If there is a substantial change, i.e. changing surname (family name), we need legal documentation (i.e. passport, birth certificate).

All of the above requires to be completed before the Assessment Board meets as names will NOT be changed after the Assessment Board has met.

  • You confirm whether you want to come to the graduation ceremony or graduate ‘in absentia’.
  • You can request guest tickets.
  • Give details of any disabilities for you or your guests which may affect seating in The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

The University provides a crèche on graduation days for children (up to 5 years of age) of both graduates and guests – http://www.gcu.ac.uk/graduation/graduationday/crechefacility/
