Public Contracts Scotland

The Public Contracts Scotland portal was launched by the Scottish Government in August 2008.  It purports to enable the Scottish public sector to increase competition and support ‘Best Value’, provide valuable free contract information to suppliers, support the Public Sector to achieve a more transparent tendering process and adhere to EU rules, build stronger communication links with buyers and suppliers and stimulate growth in Scotland.

Procurement use the portal to advertise all Route 2 and Route 3 procurements.  We also use the Quick Quote facility for some below threshold procurements and mini competition procurement activities.
