Turning waste data into valuable knowledge is essential if recycling systems and strategies are to be put into practice.

The management of data has never been so important: from the collection and processing of weighbridge data, understanding how efficient collection routes are, the performance of kerbside collection programmes and the provision of data to regulators through tools such as WasteDataFlow.

The Caledonian Environment Centre has worked with many local authorities and waste management Companies, either in collection of survey data or the subsequent statistical analysis to support investment decisions.
