Dr. Andreas Komninos was born in Patras, Greece in 1979. He received his B.Sc (Honours) in Computer Science from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2001 and a Ph.D. in Mobile Computing from the University of Strathclyde, UK. His main research interests include Pervasive Computing, HCI, Mobile Information Access and Adaptive Information Retrieval. He has worked as a programmer/analyst at Compaq Computer MFG and subsequently as a researcher and part-time lecturer at the University of Strathclyde since 2001. He is currently a lecturer in Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing at Glasgow Caledonian University, where he leads the Mobile and Ubiquitous Research Group. He has authored several publications and is a reviewer for the CHI and Mobile HCI conferences.
