The High Voltage and Insulation Diagnostics Group

The focus of the group is specifically on the following three key areas:

1. Development of innovative hardware/embedded instrumentation and software techniques for the measurement and condition monitoring of HV plant, particularly though not limited to, partial discharge.
2. Fundamental studies on partial discharge degradation/breakdown mechanisms in both solid and liquid insulating systems.
3. The development of advanced DSP techniques and algorithms to HV condition monitoring detection techniques and methods.
