As creativity is seen as necessary for future economic growth, the research and educational impact of the Centre for Creative Industries impacts upon the economic and manufacturing future, not only of Scotland and the UK, but also across the world.
The combination of staff and expertise across the various sectors within the school provide a unique depth and understanding of creativity and technical development in the industrial and commercial sectors.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships have been struck with industry to investigate the incorporation of design and materials knowledge from within the school into the manufacturing arena. Links have been forged in Europe, Asia and Brazil to share expertise, staff and facilities for educating future generations of design influenced business people.
Our staff have developed links with design businesses, to assist with strategies for long-term growth, and are liaising with local communities to facilitate infrastructure developments.
