Summary of subject area
The financial and contractual management of construction projects, to include: development cost planning and financing, contract selection, measurement, contract management and administration, valuation of works, dispute resolution and arbitration.
The valuation and management of property and real estate, to include: property development, agency and leasing, landlord and tenant, asset management, corporate real estate management, valuation and appraisal, urban regeneration.

BSc (Hons) Property Management and Valuation programme offers 12 month professional placement and BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying programme offers 8 month professional placement; both count towards experience for RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.
BSc (Hons) Property Management and Valuation programme provided the first ever winner of the Young Woman in Property award.
BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying programme contains the Interact Project which is unique to this programme, in that students work and interact with architecture and engineering students from other HE Institutions in Glasgow in what is a very realistic simulation of the world of work.
