Congratulations are due to two of the Centre's PhD students; one from Strathclyde and one from GCU.
David Bradley's Viva took place on 9 May and he was granted his doctorate on 'Occupational Health in the Scottish Steel Industry'. His Director of Studies was Professor John Stewart and the external examiner was Dr Jim Phillips, University of Glasgow.
Leanne Dunlop successfully defended her thesis on 21 May and will be awarded her doctorate in November. Simon Szreter, Professor of History and Public Policy at Cambridge, served as her external, and Richard Finlay was good enough to act as her internal.
