Search structure

The repository of unique and reliable source of peer-reviewed materials on the socio-economic effects and human-centred implications of climate change and all the associated synthesised evidence and information as it becomes available.

The literature search was structured around the 3 categories of climate justice as adopted by the Mary Robinson Foundation for Climate Justice (MRFCJ) in their current research database.

  • Pillar 1: Human, Societal and Developmental aspects of Climate Change
  • Pillar 2: Adaptation to the impacts of Climate Change
  • Pillar 3: Equitable Low Carbon Development

The databases selected for the literature search were: Science Direct; Web of Knowledge; ABI/ INFORM and Google Scholar.

The literature search covers a ten-year period (2002-2012) - considered to be sufficient to allow for the identification of the most current and evolving discussions/critiques on the various issues of climate justice.
