Construction

Our aim

To undertake funded and other collaborative research that provides a robust evidence-base for technical, economic and political decision making nationally and internationally, for a sustainable built environment. Our strengths in this respect are: heath safety and wellbeing of construction workers; procurement and contracts; productivity; building defects and quality; sustainable building use and performance.

Our vision

Our vision is of an internationally facing research group, dedicated to the sustainable procurement, construction and maintenance of built assets, in order to ‘meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of present and future generations to meet their social and economic needs.’
