Craig holds an undergraduate Geography degree and following this he spent 5 years with the Construction Management Research Unit (CMRU) at the University of Dundee where he completed both an MRes and PhD. During this period he gained expertise in the areas of project management, construction innovation, knowledge management, and maintenance management. After a period working for a local authority, he joined BNE in May 2006 he has since worked on two major EPSRC projects (SUE-MoT and SURegen) where he was been involved in the development of indicator sets for sustainability within the built environment, and has focused on the role of knowledge within the sustainability assessment context. His wider interests consider how the culture and practices of the construction industry need to evolve to align with the emerging low carbon and sustainability agenda’s. He is currently leading MSc module Sustainable Design and Construction and is involved in teaching on a range of programmes within the school.
