BSc (Hons) Computing (Software Engineering) Graduated 2008
Dina completed the two year graduate training programme which involved working on four placements lasting around six months each. The key areas of involvement were Software Governance, Software Testing, Software Development and Software Project Leading.
Dina’s tips for students:
- Start the job search process early on in your fourth year. A lot of companies have early closing dates in October and November.
- Get advice from the Careers Service. I met with a careers adviser who gave me really good advice about tailoring my CV.
- If you go to any Graduate Recruitment Fairs, do some research about the companies you are interested in and have some questions prepared to ask the company representatives.
- Search the library and the internet for books and tips to prepare for interviews, psychometric tests and assessment centre
