Email information and advice service
We can provide you with impartial, professional and accessible information specific to you on a wide range of careers issues.
Who can use the service?
- Current students or graduates (within 2 years from graduation)
- Staff who are currently studying at GCU or who graduated from GCU (within 2 years of graduation).
- Prospective GCU students holding a provisional/firm course offer.
If you do not meet the above criteria to use our service, please check other sources of information and advice.
How do I use the service?
We will answer your query normally within 5 working days and, of course, you are guaranteed confidentiality and impartiality.
Please note we do not provide a CV checking facility via this service. Going over the content of your CV is something which is much better done in a careers appointment as it involves discussion about rationale for including/excluding certain things, and negotiation about changing elements of your CV. Careers appointments
We can help with planning your career and study options, finding and applying for jobs as well as preparing for interviews. A careers interview gives you the opportunity to speak with a careers adviser in some detail about graduate job search, CVs and applications, job interviews, graduate selection tests, and career options.
If you require CV advice, please bring a printed copy of your CV to the interview. Careers appointment are confidential and impartial. For in-depth careers advice and guidance, you can arrange an appointment.
