Mission Statement

The Careers Service at Glasgow Caledonian University aims to provide quality, effective careers guidance, advice and information to empower students and graduates to make informed decisions about their careers, learning and continuing professional development.

We aim to fulfil this Mission Statement by achieving the following objectives:

• Providing careers education information advice and guidance (CEIAG) support for academic schools.
• Taking forward the delivery of CEIAG.
• Working in partnership with employers, professional bodies, development agencies, sector skills councils and other interested parties
• Continuing quality improvement ensuring Matrix accreditation (quality award).
• Supporting GCU students and graduates to develop effective career management skills
• Supporting the university’s internationalisation strategy
• Maintaining up to date careers and labour market information in various formats
