The Department has the only UKAS accredited food testing laboratory in Scotland, which is used for REHIS food safety courses. - The Department of Vision Sciences, in collaboration with NHS Education for Scotland (NES), has developed a range of CPD courses including Therapeutic Prescribing for Optometrists, 'Lost for Words' - a one-day workshop on communication and communication disorders - and Binocular Vision.
- The Department of Psychology, working with the Argyll and Clyde Domestic Abuse Training Consortium, has an accredited short course in ‘Responding to Domestic Abuse’ for practitioners working with domestic abuse issues. The Department of Psychology also offers a range of counselling psychology courses delivered with the University of Strathclyde called the Psychological Therapies Knowledge Exchange Programme.
