The Applied Knowledge Exchange supports Glasgow Caledonian University’s research, knowledge transfer and business development activities, and we work closely with academic experts in Glasgow Caledonian University's schools, commercial centres and Research Institutes.
Our key business services are: Consultancy projects, contract research, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), student placements in industry, technology licensing, European funding and SME business support.
We work with academic experts in our School of Health and Life Sciences; School of Engineering and Built Environment; and Glasgow School for Business and Society.
The University has a long tradition of conducting research that is economically and socially relevant, applying new knowledge to problems of global significance in areas such as health, the environment and economic development.

We have unique, specialised instrumentation and equipment including environmental testing facilities, 3D visualisation labs, food testing and analysis and an eye clinic.
