Healthcare asset management

Aligning NHS Scotland’s asset management strategy with the Scottish Government’s 2020 Vision to achieve sustainable quality in the delivery of healthcare services

The research looks at built environment asset management in the health care arena. The PhD study, for NHS Scotland, will develop a route map to determine how the asset management (AM) estates strategies support the Government Strategy (2020 Vision). There appears to be lack of knowledge and consensus on the bi-directional nature of the 2020 Vision with existing asset management processes adopted by NHS Scotland and NHS Boards. The research will seek to address this gap.

Impact: The entire estate of NHS Scotland’s assets in will befit from this project by improving their sustainability metrics and reducing their impact on the environment
