City Sparrows was the quarterly magazine of The Scottish Children's League of Pity - the junior branch of the Royal Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children. As well as providing information on activities in the two major cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, the journal covers events and fundraising for various parts of Scotland and in the early editions, worldwide articles of interest are included. The magazines are beautifully illustrated and the Archive includes holdings from 1896 to 1979. From 1979 the format was changed to annual report only.
