Biographical history
Name of Creator: Robina M Purdon.
Biographical history: Robina Macfarlane Stephens (nee Robina Macfarlane Purdon ), known as Ruby, was born in 1897 in Alva, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. She was educated at Alva Academy before attending The Glasgow and West of Scotland College of Domestic Science (Incorporated) in Glasgow, Scotland, from at least 1917 until 1918 . While at the College she studied laundry and cookery, housework, house management and needlework. After leaving college, until her marriage in 1924, she was employed as a domestic science teacher in Plymouth, Devon, England. She died in 1935 .
