Witness Seminar and Open Forum

The title of this event was "The
Role of the Royal Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to
Children in the Development of Child Protection" and it took place
on 5 November 2005. It is part of GCU's Witness Seminar and Open Forum series.
Oral testament is
being increasingly recognised as a valuable tool for historical
research. At its best it can achieve a balance between the
desire of the people who took part in events to have their own views
(developed after a period of reflection) recorded, and a desire to
provide future historians with an additional valuable tool to assist
their own judgments. It also provides an interesting research
resource for interested parties at all levels. Access to this
recording is available here.
